The history of the cottage on Middelplaas (Middle Farm) is unknown. It is the only house on Middelplaas and was probably many decades ago used as a residence for the people looking after the farm for the owners who lived elsewhere in the valley. Over the years it became very run down before it was renovated by the present owners into a cottage with the most beautiful view over the olive orchard, veld and mountains.

  • In the main bedroom there is a double bed, the second bedroom has 2 single beds.
  • Free Wifi Access.
  • All linen included.
  • The lounge has an open fireplace for heating in winter, or the occasional braai.
  • There is an air conditioner in the lounge.
  • The sheltered stoep overlooking the veld and mountains is the ideal entertainment area with enough seating for guests.
  • There is a circular braai on the grass adjacent to the stoep.
  • Braai grids, fire tongs and swartpotjie available.
  • The kitchen is equipped with all the required utensils, including cutlery, crockery, kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge/freezer and stove.
  • There is a washing machine available in the nearby shed.
  • The bathroom has a shower, basin, and toilet.
  • On hot summer days you can go for a swim in the river at our nearby private picnic site.
  • The cottage has security screens in front of all windows and doors.
